During the installation process of downlights and spotlights, there are several areas that require special attention, but are often overlooked. Therefore, we would like to mention it specifically in the article to attract your friends' attention.
hole size
Most taper marks are between 70-80cm, so generally speaking, carpenters will make holes according to a diameter of 75cm. However, there are more than 80cm holes that need to be installed, so you need to pay attention when purchasing.
high
Since most downlights are installed hidden, the entire light body needs to be embedded in the ceiling. Some downlights with deep cups can even reach 8-10 cm in height. So the ceiling is high enough.
If the ceiling height is not high enough, you can only choose LED lights or spotlights with shallow cups. Generally, a ceiling height of about 4cm is sufficient.
distance from wall
If you want to get the best wall washing results, it's not enough to just focus on the beam angle. You also need to pay attention to the distance between the downhill and the spotlight. When the distance from the wall is different, the illumination effect is also very different:
Rotation angle (spotlight only)
Nowadays, many LED spotlights support rotation, which allows users to be more flexible in use. Therefore, after installation is completed, the position of the lamp head needs to be adjusted according to the required light pattern to obtain the best effect.
