Due to their versatility, cost-effectiveness and innovative design features, LED panel lights are rapidly gaining popularity in businesses, retail stores and warehouses. Over time, there are now more and more LED lighting options available, allowing you to choose from a variety of types. Here we look at some of the options available, enabling you to find the perfect LED light for all your requirements.
shape
LED panel lights can take various shapes such as square, rectangular or round. The shape you choose is a very personal choice, usually based on taste and preference. Before deciding which shape of LED to choose, consider other elements of your interior style, the size and shape of the room, but also imagine how these shapes will look in your space, and how many of them you will need.
size
Once you have decided on the shape, you need to consider which LED panel size is best for your required space? 300mmx300mm, 300mmx600mm, 300mmx1200mm, 600mmx600mm and 600mm x 1200mm are the most popular LED panel sizes, but this again depends on the size and shape of the space you are lighting, as well as your aesthetic preferences. Do you prefer many smaller panels or fewer larger panels? The choice is entirely yours.
CCT
CCT stands for Color Temperature and is a measure of the color of a light source relative to a black body. Incandescent lights have a lower color temperature (around 2800K), with a reddish-yellow hue, while LED lights tend to have a color temperature between 3000K – 6000K. Choose 3000K shades if you're looking for a warmer white, 4000K if you want a neutral white finish, or 6000K if you're looking for a pure, bright white.
Install
There are also a few different options when it comes to installing LED panels. You can choose from surface mount, recessed or pendant options, each with their own advantages. Surface panel lights are often referred to as surface mount, and if you don't have a suspended ceiling, and if recessed isn't possible, then it's the type of panel you need. Easy to install, the surface mount LED panel lights come with all accessories and brackets, you can fix them on any flat surface, be it the ceiling or the wall. Recessed panel lights are suspended from the ceiling and offer a very wide beam angle, thus providing excellent light spread.
If you buy them as ceiling light replacements, they'll retrofit into the space vacated by your old modular fluorescents, however, they'll just as easily be fixed to any flat surface at home with a mounting kit.
No matter which type of LED panel light you choose, you are sure to get a high-quality light source that is long-lasting, energy-efficient and highly efficient.
