FAQ：

If this is in a fixture where the switch is off will it still charge or only charges when on? What if I don't want it to light up at night?

It will still charging as long as the lamp is plugged in and even with the switch off. If the switch is off it won’t light up. The switch has to be placed on “on” when the electricity goes out for it to work with the charge it has stored.

You have to turn the lamp on. They work well. We lost power and it was nice just to turn the light on. If the lamp switch is off the bulb will stay off.
