Can they be used in a ceiling fan light?

Can not be used with multiple bulb sockets and we have not tried ceiling fan with a single bulb.

Can it be used in a 3 way lamp switch if you only use one brightness?

Can be used in 3 way lamp, but will display only one brightness. But sometimes when you then turn you turn the three-way switch to an off position the light will blink on and off. This can be stopped by cycling thru all the positions until it turns off again.
